Millennia ago, The Land was ruled by The Hecatomb, a demonic warlord that was able to strike anywhere in the world with his army from The Underlands. A hero weilding a sword of starmetal struck down The Hecatomb. Unable to completely destroy him, the hero instead sealed him in the depths of The Underlands with The Blessing of Solus. Victorious, the hero was named King Pius and the Kingdom of Generica was formed from the survivors of the war.

Now the seal is weakening and The Hecatomb is amassing his forces again from his imprisonment. King Pius Generica VI and the royal family were attacked from within the castle while the revived Cult of Hecatomb began running rampant across the kingdom. Pius VI, driven from his castle and with his children kidnapped, immediately rallied his armies in the people’s defense. The Generica Forces have fought the Cult to a standstill on the surface, but have been unable to push into enemy territory underground to launch an offensive.

Desperate, the King reaches out to Dungeon Dispatch, a small temp agency for adventurers run by the mysterious Marv. Ever the businessman, Marv knows just the guy/gal/nonbinary pal to get the job done: YOU!
